Walked in late (10:30pm) sat down immediately. Was greeted by a young polite waitress who took our order. There was an older gentleman running the grill and he knew his stuff. He rocked that grill like a boss and had our food in like 12 to 15 minutes all while fixing 3 other tables' food as well.

The waitresses working Saturday night, October 25th should both be fired. They neither worked together, nor functioned separately. Never acknowledged us when we walked in, never apologized for being delayed.Never made eye contact and we were sitting right at the counter! north and next customers. Three more people came in at the counter and sat next to us, same treatment. Ignored!! They were not offered any drinks during the wait, yet the other waitress was taking time to refill her table and make to go drinks for her second table!! One customer's little girl was running all around the restaurant unattended playing with ketchup containers and squeezing them on to the counter with her hands all over it nobody stopped her. I will also notify corporate. Usually have great service at waffle houses.But not this place.

We were coming home late from camping at Cade's Cove and we were starving! The service was awesome and the cook gets a Gold Star! 😋 Made it home safely and with a full tummy! Thank you Waffle House for always being there! 🧇 🍴🏠😋💛🖤

Very rude I asked for little to no oil used when cooking my hash browns because ill get diarrhea, I guess they wanted to test that because before I could even pay i already was having a blow out. I could here them say oh no I told no oil I think it makes him poop hahaha ha very embarrassing especially hearing them say omg you're responsible for his smell and whatever he leaves because you put oil in it hahahaha

A nice down home, simple No frills eatery. As a 40-year chef, I enjoyed the food although the portions were a bit small for the somewhat high prices. Everything was good but a little on the bland side. Which is okay, that's what salt and pepper are for. I'd rather have bland than over seasoned any day. Service is subpar. Brought our orders and then never came back until our plates were empty. No check backs, no refills etc. if you want good tips, earn them! Some subtle music or turning on the television would have been nice as well. Felt like we were sitting in a school cafeteria. There was no welcome when walking in the door. You sit yourself and wait for someone to show up at your table. Not the most friendly or business-oriented atmosphere. It's obvious that the kitchen is the heartbeat of this establishment.

Meatloaf and fried chicken breast with white gravy was great! Had Mac n cheese, creamed potatoes, squash casserole, and white beans for sides and they were all great also! Big portions and fast service! Will come back to try other things...more reviews to come!

Nothing quite like a meat and three for comfort food while travelling. I'd read review that recommended the fried pork tenderloin and the review was absolutely accurate... SCRUMPTIOUS!! The sweet potato casserole and the corn fritters were also off the chart tasty. Like most good meat and three restaurants, it's not a fancy place, but there's a little more satisfying than a good selection of mix and match meat and vegetable choices. And it's a nice stop to get off the highway for a moment. We will probably stop by again when we're traveling to Atlanta again.

While staying in Ringold we ate at Aunt Effie’s. We were greeted and were told to pick a booth. It was hard to pick one that didn’t have torn and worn out seats. The floor looked really dirty and grimy, I would have left but it was late and we didn’t want to look for anywhere else. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Husband ordered catfish. The breading was crispy but the meat was mushy . Good mashed potatoes and gravy, Cole slaw was okay. My salad was generous and ingredients were fresh. Lay off on the amount of cheese. It was all over so impossible to remove but still a decent salad. The atmosphere could use some help! Re-upholster the booths they really make the restaurant look run down. Some more decor on the walls may make it feel more down home country. A very cold and sterile feeling. And the restaurant was literally uncomfortably cold. We came about 30’minutes from closing and I can appreciate employees want to get home but didn’t appreciate that the chairs on the tables were turned upside down while we were still eating and a young lady was cleaning all around us and then slinging a disgusting mop within 3 feet of us. Nothing says come back real soon even though your actions say get out it’s quitting time.

Great grits! I mean, anyone can do grits, but great grits are not easy to find, we'll here are super delicious! Loved the atmosphere and the great service. Thank you, girls!! Loved the crunchy bacon, and my eggs were well done. We will be back!

We’re from the Uk and never tried waffle house before - stopped and got breakfast to go, Absolutely delicious- cooked right in front of us! The staff were fantastic and very welcoming- lovely lady served us and was sooo nice- highly recommended

They have put a discount card in the hotels for $1.99 off. LOL that is not very much at all when the other restaurants give 10% or a free appetizer. 4/19/25 The food was much better than my first visit. The sauce was good with flavor and a little kick. Our server (Jose G) was very attentive and polite.

Ate here tonight for the second time and was delighted yet again. The steak and chicken were both tender and juicy and full of flavor, and the desserts were delicious. Plus you can’t beat a $3 margarita! Prices were great on all the food, will definitely be returning again!

First visit and the food was great! They have specials different days. My steak on my quesadilla was fork tender and delicious .This restaurant and bar is decorated so cute and festive. Will definitely go back. Talked to the owner and his wife and they were so nice.

Traveling through the area and I ordered the Charro Chicken; the cheese sauce was amazing. Wife was impressed with the Flautas. Bar area had several TVs for sporting events. Nice size dining room that can accommodate different groups of guests.
