Great to see someplace that was part of our family history. Area needs some attention as the stone work and description boards need some restoration or replacement. But the area gives you a good idea about the Battle of Ringgold Gap. Decent parking on the side of the road right at the monument. Need some leaf removal and cleanup. Be careful on steps.

Very nice and well preserved portion of the Ringgold Gap Battlefield. Has some picnic tables and nice shade as well so it's a good place to have lunch. Very informative plaques and historical markers talking about the Battle itself and the beginning of the Atlanta Campaign. Highly recommend visiting if you are interested in our nation's history.

This a cute little park with shaded picnic tables. It is not very peaceful though as you see and hear the traffic.

Combination rest center and Georgia State welcome center. Nice, clean restrooms, a Penny souvenir machine, staff to help you with information on the state of Georgia tourist information, vending, a machine that makes change for vending. Lovely picnic area with a big round area where you can walk. I saw a lot of kids playing in the well manicure lawn area in the center of the concrete walking path the picnic tables were very nice and clean and each had its own trashcan. This is one of the nicer welcome centers that I have been to in my travels.

Never have I ever been to a rest stop that locks up the bathrooms overnight. Need to go between 11pm - 7am? Better keep on driving or find a bush!

Very clean and a nice place to get off for a clean restroom stop. We decided to use their picnic table for a lunch. They were covered and a very clean area with trash cans near by. They also have dog walking trails near by. This was one of the nicest, cleanest and a very well laid out rest stop

A good place for an outdoor event. The power controls were locked up, so if you need the fans in the pavilion on some hot day, be sure to ask about it ahead of time.

This playground is small enough that the kids don't get "lost". I like that a fence enclosed the area. There are plenty of covered picnic tables for snacks or lunch/dinner.

This park is a great venue for tournaments. Lots of room, multiple concession stands, and a nice playground inside the fences for the kids to enjoy between games. Lots of restrooms. They could use some kind of flow management, though. There was a lot of confusion about lines and several times throughout the day I saw people just walk up and cut line into a stall that someone was walking out of. Unfortunately, the organizers for the tournament we attended didn't do a very good job. I wish our experience had been better. But the facilities were great.

Catoosa County has really put a lot of work into Jack Mattox Park. The amount of cars post-games can be a bit of an issue as they enter onto Pine Grove Road and the light polution has changed the star gazing a bit, but it is a nice place to play ball, play disc golf, or to use the running path. I would like to see the are developed a little more to possibly introduce a fishing pond.

This place has several different ballfields, a fair amount of parking. There's a walking tract that encompasses a pond that makes the experience peaceful and relaxing.

For truckers, there is no parking available at the Love's Travel Center after 7 PM. Returning to this rest area is quite pleasant, as it offers vending machines that accept debit and credit cards, clean restrooms, and a beautifully maintained landscape. There is ample overhead lighting, and the area is quiet. It appears there is space for approximately 40 trucks, with plenty of room for maneuvering.

Nice little rest stop and a blessing to see coming down the hills of East Tennessee. Lots of free information packets and two absolutely cheerful, beautiful ladies working the front desk. Lots of amenities are provided on-site as well as fresh peaches and a very small orchard. Kind of wish there were more spots indoors for charging electronics but I had to settle with a spot outside for a FastCharge. Also, I don't understand why they are so very stern on the "No Skate Shoes" indoors because they are mostly Gum Soles and non-marking.

This is the first rest stop as you enter Georgia when leaving Chattanooga, TN. Big rig (RV) and family friendly, staff on site, welcome center, information, clean bathrooms, facilities for families, handicap accessible, vending machines, cleaning maintenance on site, open/staffed on holidays, well lit, plenty of parking, dog walking area, security cameras, and etc. It has always had well maintained facilities when we stop. It “feels” relatively “safe” during daylight hours if you are traveling alone or not familiar with the area. It’s a good stop before you get to some major cities. Great place for families and pets to stop. (I have not been to this rest area late at night or alone.) I do believe this is a good place to stop if you are in a RV, van, or camper. Easy on/off ramp and plenty of room.

BE MINDFUL TRUCKERS and VISITERS!!! NOT OPEN FOR RESTROOM AT NIGHT! Pee wherever you want! NEVER have we EVER been to a rest area that doesn't have a open rest room at night!!! We travel ALL states. No wonder the truckers pee everywhere!!! NOT cool Georgia!!!!!

Really nice rest area. Glad we stopped to explore and use the facilities. Large welcome area with descriptions. Pamphlets that show surrounding areas with neat activities. Neat set up with a large information desk/room that has even more pamphlets. Grabbed a few to take home to make plans for another trip to Georigia
