Ah, the Frisco Melt from Aunt Effie's—a culinary revelation draped in nostalgic charm, where comfort meets indulgence, and decadence becomes an art form. This gastronomic marvel beckons with its golden, toasted exterior and promises a sensory journey unparalleled. The bread, crisp yet yielding, is toasted to perfection, embracing the essence of the melt with buttery devotion. It forms a sanctuary for the riches within, a cradle for a medley of textures and flavors. Each bite of this crust whispers of home kitchens and seasoned skillets, of love infused into the mundane. At the heart lies the patty—a symphony of savory, char-grilled ecstasy. Juicy and tender, it holds a secret within its folds: the perfect mingling of melted cheese, cascading like molten gold. This duet of beef and cheese is a celebration of culinary harmony, where the richness of the meat waltzes with the creamy allure of cheddar. Above this foundation, layers of fresh vibrance unfold. Crisp lettuce adds a note of verdant brightness, a whisper of health amidst the indulgence. Slices of tomato, plump and ruby-red, bring a tangy sweetness that dances across the palate, a reminder of summer gardens and sun-drenched days. And then, the sauce—a mysterious alchemy of tangy, savory, and creamy notes that ties it all together. It seeps into every crevice, every fold, uniting the disparate elements into a masterpiece of flavor. It is both glue and glory, a testament to Aunt Effie's genius. To partake in the Frisco Melt is to revel in an experience. It is a bite of nostalgia wrapped in culinary innovation, a tribute to all that is comforting and familiar, yet elevated to the extraordinary. It is a dish that whispers of Aunt Effie’s passion and commitment to flavor, inviting all who dare to take a bite to step into her world of edible wonders. This creation, this Frisco Melt, is not just food—it is a story. A story of care, of tradition, of the eternal pursuit of the perfect bite. It is the kind of dish that lingers long after the last crumb has vanished, a memory etched in the heart and on the taste buds. Aunt Effie, with her Frisco Melt, has not just served a sandwich. She has served an experience, a moment of bliss that demands to be savored and celebrated. For in the golden crunch of the bread, the molten embrace of the cheese, and the harmonious medley of toppings, lies a love letter to all who seek joy in the simple pleasures of food.

Well, hello Aunt Effie's! So the wife and I went antuquing up in the Ringold Georgia area over the past weekend. While we were out picking, we asked around for the best place to grab lunch, NOT a chain restaurant! Boom! Aunt Effie's is the place! Gotta say that this local funeral was amazing! We sat ourselves and were waited on in no time and soon had our drinks. We looked over the menu, and it was perfect. Just what we were looking for. I had a hand battered chicken breast with creamed potatoes and mac and cheese. When I asked if I wanted cornbread or rolls, I answered....yes! She looked at me and said, "I know just what you want!" Then proceeded to bring me both! Score!! My wife had the loaded baked potato and a bowl of homemade beef and vegetable soup. She was amazed at the amount of toppings on the taters and the beef in the soup. All in all, i must say, Aunt Effie's is THE place to go in Ringold if you want great food, great service, and great pricing! Definitely recommend Aunt Effie's!

This is a very good place to go if you are hungry. The portions are amazing, 2 people could eat off one entree and one appetizer. The quality was definitely 5 stars and everything tasted freshly made and cooked. The wait staff are very nice and courteous. Our servers name was Cheryl and she was amazing, so nice and and a very good worker. Definite recommended stop while in Ringgold GA.

Nothing quite like a meat and three for comfort food while travelling. I'd read review that recommended the fried pork tenderloin and the review was absolutely accurate... SCRUMPTIOUS!! The sweet potato casserole and the corn fritters were also off the chart tasty. Like most good meat and three restaurants, it's not a fancy place, but there's a little more satisfying than a good selection of mix and match meat and vegetable choices. And it's a nice stop to get off the highway for a moment. We will probably stop by again when we're traveling to Atlanta again.

I hate it when I have to write a negative review for a small local business. But when I'm fed half the usual fast food restaurant quality at double the time and price, in a dark depressing black place and misleading catalog (or waitress stated) prices, I have to. Once was more than enough for me.

I have had lunch there a couple of times. It was always good. But the last time I had a hair in my chicken dumplings. Need less to say. I lost my appetite. The cook had long dirty hair and just a ball cap on. Hopefully it has changed.

I don't know what the bad reviews are for, but everyone should try this place. The food was amazing, staff was as friendly as you will ever find. Here's a few notes. This is a MOM AND POP SHOP. Don't treat them like a cracker barrel. They have harder staffing issues. They are small. If it takes a few more minutes to get your food, it is worth it. I was in and out in about 40 minutes by myself. I immediately text my wife and told her about the place. The menu is small and I like that! The best way to go out of business is to be everything to everyone. They had three entree items. Honestly, I came in hoping for something else that they didn't have. That's okay though. I got a recommendation of something I really wasn't in the mood for and it was spectacular. I got the Roast beef, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. I'll be back and with more people. Love hole in the wall places like this.

I just had such a great meal. It's a meat and 3, if you want high tea, you have to give advance notice. It was delicious. I had a lovely server and loved exploring the antiques. In a world of chain restaurants, I was thrilled to have a little something different. Thank you! I'll be back (maybe tomorrow). And so close to Costco, I feel a tradition starting.

After hearing great reviews from a friend we decided to try this hidden gem of a place, The food and service was excellent. The meat and three veggies are heafty servings. The peach tea is very good. I loved their meatloaf, normally I won't order meatloaf but after hearing through friends I did order and so glad I did. I will be going back, Love this place. It's like going to Grandma's house for Sunday Dinner. The Owner and his staff are very friendly, the place is very clean. I have found "I think my favorite place for Lunch or Dinner when I'm in the area.

The staff is great! The front porch dining with a patriotic theme was really. They only have outdoor seating so be prepared to grab and go or bundle up during these winter cold spells. The place has a very tight small parking lot but we went around 6pm on a Saturday and had no problems finding a parking. I called in my order ahead of time for a grab & go. I ordered the cheeseburger special with tots and my wife got the cheeseburger with fries. We wanted to be adventurous and show support to our new local restaurant so we added onion rings, cheese stick and jalapeño poppers. The burgers seemed to be a thick hand pattie pressed beef and were cooked well with just a little outside crisp. They came fully dressed with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickle. The bun was an average sized flat toasted bun and held the burger with toppings together well. For the price, size, and taste I would give the burger a 7 out of 10. The Tots were really good and had a perfect crisp/crunch. They were not too salty and went well with the burger. I love Tots and give them a 8 out of 10 for the crisp, the basket quantity and of course the taste. The fries were crinkle style and were lightly salted. There was alot of fries in the order, as with the tots. The fries fall off on my rating because the were stiff and kind of tasteless. I would have to give the fries a 2 out of 10 for appearance, quantity and taste. They are still a young business and I'm sure they are still finding their way with the menu items. The onion rings were good and probably better if we had ate them there but in the bag they got a little limp on the ride home. They tasted ok and once again a large portion of onion rings were served. Without taking in to account the ride home in the bag, my wife gives the onion rings a 9 out of 10. The 6 piece jalapeño poppers were like the standard type served in restaurant but the crisp on these was great! I give the poppers a 9 out of 10. The 3 piece mozzarella cheesesticks were the average served in most restaurants but had the crisp like the poppers and the tots. I give these sticks a 8 out of 10 for size, portion and taste. This place is a new go for me. I look forward to my next visit for their catfish platter with tots, coleslaw and Texas toast.

Honestly it went above my expectations everything was perfectly seasoned and the food was cooked perfectly cooked including the chicken tenders but i do wish the burgers were a little more juicy but it was fine other than that the burgers were perfect. The people taking my order were very nice so that's also a plus.

We went here our first time today and everything about this place was just so amazing! Our server, Korrinne, was very sweet and she made the visit feel so welcoming. Props to her for being so awesome! The food was delicious. The mozzarella sticks had a good taste to them and we loooved the sauce. The food was very filling and our entrees tasted amazing! My boyfriend loved the avocado + vinegar mix on his “Roadie’s Pinky Finger”. I got the “Coco’s Chicken Finger Plate” and it was delicious! The fries and onion rings were my two sides, and I loved them. And the most important thing, the aesthetic of this place is just so welcoming and warm. It really fits the picture of a perfect coffee shop for your afternoon lunch date.

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at the new El Charro Bar and Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was impressive from start to finish! Upon arriving, I was initially a bit skeptical, as the parking lot was fairly empty. In my experience, a quiet lot often hints at an underwhelming atmosphere or lackluster food. But I was hungry, craving Mexican food, and decided to trust my instinct to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Walking inside, I was immediately struck by the unique ambiance—a charming blend of restaurant and sports bar, tastefully designed with authentic touches of Mexican culture. The decor struck a perfect balance: vibrant and genuine without feeling overwhelming. From the colors and wall art to the subtle decorations, music, and even the table covers, everything reflected the warmth and vibrancy of Mexican culture, sparking my excitement to taste their food. Being from Southern California and El Paso, Texas, I know how hard it can be to find authentic Mexican flavors here in Tennessee. So when our friendly hostess promptly greeted us and seated us, my anticipation grew. The evening’s special was margaritas, and with tempting flavor options, I couldn’t resist trying both the mango and strawberry margaritas. The menu offered a diverse selection, but one item caught my eye: Tacos de Papa—a childhood favorite that took me back to cherished memories of sharing this dish with my father. I added rice and beans to my order, knowing these staples would reveal just how authentic and flavorful this place truly was. My girlfriend opted for the chicken taco salad. As we sipped our margaritas, which were as delicious as they looked, we were brought a complimentary basket of chips and salsa—an ideal pairing that amplified the laid-back, welcoming vibe of El Charro. It was beginning to feel like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem. To our surprise, Angel, the owner and chef, stopped by our table, introduced himself, and welcomed us warmly. His friendliness and passion for his restaurant added such a personal touch to our experience. He shared that El Charro was just a few months old—a detail that only added to the sense of discovery. Then, the moment of truth arrived: our food. Presented beautifully, the dishes looked every bit as good as I had hoped. But, of course, taste is what matters most, and El Charro did not disappoint. My Tacos de Papa transported me back to my childhood with each bite, and the rice and beans were as flavorful and comforting as the ones my mom used to make. My girlfriend, who rarely takes leftovers, couldn’t finish her chicken taco salad but loved it so much that she asked for a to-go box. In short, our visit to El Charro was an absolute delight, from the warm welcome and authentic atmosphere to the incredible food and drinks. Angel and his team have created something truly special here, and we’re thrilled to have discovered it. This is a place we’ll definitely return to, and we look forward to seeing it flourish. Thank you, Angel, and the El Charro team, for a memorable evening and for making us feel right at home!

First came the meat. Apparently it was the appetizer. Second came the soup (= main meal?). And third and last came the sushi (= dessert). Quality was not bad, but definitely overpriced and then they wanted to surcharge us, above their price list. Seating area is good and pleasant, definitely above average. Pity about the awfully bad service.

By far one of the best places for BBQ, friendly faces, and a relaxed and fun atmosphere! My dad took me here tons as a kid and I still say to this day that Bailey's is one of the best restaurants in the area. The servers know us both by face and name by now and are all incredibly friendly, the decor is welcoming with tons of signs, jokes, and of course pigs lining the walls, there's TVs set up showing various news channels and occasional fun facts about various things for those interested in that, there's a bar table to sit at by the register for those who like a chat with staff, the whole place is usually rather clean and well-maintained, and the food is incredibly good for the price and wait time. Somehow they have the best onion rings I've ever tried, still not sure what they do to make them so good either— highly, highly, highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for good food and great company!

We got here at 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon just before the crowd came in plus the service & food was excellent. Great place in Ringgold, Ga right by the old railroad depot on the main drag through town so lots of exposure for folks to give it a try. My House Special Calzone had sooo much piping hot cheese and meats and veggies! The Hawaiian pineapple pizza was heavenly and the Stromboli spinach and feta cheese absolutely delicious. First time here and we're planning on a return visit in very near future! Revisited recently solo and had a Grecian style chicken on rice that comes with Greek salad and bread sticks with marinara sauce. Delicious!

Okay whoever reads this I will have to update this later. Raphael's has a pizza buffet and bar inside however; I have not eaten inside this establishment as of yet, they also have buy one get one free pizza which I have used several times now. They have really good pizza, fresh ingredients good crust and not too salty, and if that's not enough already you get two large pizzas for about 25 bucks. I'm giving food and service five stars, I want it to be known to anyone who reads this I am only giving the atmosphere 4 stars due to the fact that I have NOT eaten inside. I do plan on doing so soon and may bump the atmosphere up to five stars after that point, as I said back at the front I will be updating this later.

The food was delicious and hot when picked up. No problem with the food. It was using a brand new $25.00 gift card and it would only give credit for $12.50 on the card. I peeled the security cover off of the code when entering the information. I do not understand why this would happen. The lady at the store scanned the card and said it shows a $0 balance. Do not buy gift cards for the Cracker Barrel. Why would a card lose half its value?

Had two servers one was nice and polite and the other was rude and short with everyone in our group. Everyone of our orders were wrong and when we mentioned it to the server that things were wrong or missing she rolled her eyes then just threw the missing items down on the table. Customer service was not on the agenda for the service we received. We still ended up having to eat the wrong items and not what we actually ordered. They were not to busy. The one server seemed like it was a bother to do her job. We frequently visit this location several times a month. With the level of unprofessionalism we were shown we will not be returning we will take our business to place we are treated as customers not a bother.

Server was good. The server enter my order in correctly but I guess the kitchen read the order incorrectly because I received mashed potatoes instead of green beans and I received chicken and dumplings instead of meat loaf. The server made the order correct but this was rare my order is incorrect at Cracker Barrel. The cashier didn’t ask if I was a loyalty member I had to ask if I “could give her my number to get my points”. Other Cracker Barrel I’ve been to did ask if I was a loyalty member. Once we receive the items we ordered, the food was tasty.
