Lovely room, pool, and work out area. Breakfast was always fresh and really yummy every morning. Only downside is that even though they say they do room service every other day of your stay, we had none whatsoever. Which is fine but pretty disappointing

Stayed here once running from a hurricane. Staff was really great so my wife & I returned recently to visit Rock City Gardens. Its a nice hotel. Only nit pick is that the rooms are a little small and don't have a microwave in them. Other than that, they're nice.

Pleasantly surprised with this location. Tru in Ringgold is right off the highway and the hotel itself was great. Feels brand new, lobby and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Clean nice sized bathroom and great shower. I am a loyal Hilton brand hotel stayer and I highly recommend this location. Will absolutely stay again when in the area.

Rooms were great, beds were too firm. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was impressive. They have an automatic pancake maker and offered pumpking spice syrup and sprinkles! They also have a fresh yogurt maker with granola and dried fruit at the station.

You would think for what you pay they would make sure you got your deposit back in a reasonable time. I was told i would get my $150 deposit which is insanely high anyway but I was told It would go back on my card same day I checked out but it’s been 5 days since I checked out and still Nothing. The place is nice and staff was nice but for future if they tell you you’ll get your card deposit back the same day don’t listen. And they have no idea when it will go on there now when I call.

This our half way point from Michigan to Florida. Staff helpful and friendly. We have been coming here for the last two years. Hot breakfast from 6 to 10. Coffee in lobby at all times. Just ask for extra towels and pillows you get them with no problem. If you want a shower instead of a tub/shower you will have to ask for a King room. Shower was handicap acceptable, hand rails inside. Very large. Water was nice and hot. Bed was comfortable. Accross the street there is a restaurant called Farm to Mouth. Large portions( you might want to share if you are a small eater) We got 4 pics of cod fish and French fries. Could not finish it. Blueberry cheese cake was wonderful. Hope you stay your stay and meal.

Location was convenient to the highway. Hotel staff were friendly overall. We enjoyed the hot breakfast. Furniture in the rooms was well worn. TV stand in all 3 rooms were in said shape. They changed one room in advance due to the television was out. Stains on our bed spread. Tub drain was very slow. I am very disappointed that the rooms were not in better condition. Hilton needs to take better care of the hotels.

We stayed 2 nights in one room & had family 1 night in the second room. Had toilet issues in both rooms toilet actually backed up in the bathtub. We & our grandchildren were having to use the lobby's bathroom & couldn't take showers. I have ask for a refund for our inconvenience & was told by the manager Michael that he would take care if this & would call me back but I've heard nothing & when I call I am told he will be in later or the next day reaching out many times still being told the same. We have stayed here for many times over the years even weeks at a time it has always been service oriented but doesn't appear to be that anymore & that is very disappointing.

Disappointing stay compared with the other Hampton Inn's I stayed at on my cross country trip (highly recommend East Ridge TN as a better option that's relatively close and Effingham IL). Room was relatively clean. Common areas were not clean, maintenance doors were left open, security door was left open but fixed once notified, light fixtures were all bent in the hallway, furniture was older and outdated, and the place overall looked disheveled. The breakfast area was not kept up very well. Staff wasn't the friendliest. The coffee station was out of lids and cream. The parking in the back lot was very poorly lit. I would not stay here again for the price. Disappointing because I usually have good luck at Hampton Inn, especially from a cleanliness standpoint. Will be asking for a partial refund. Will consider going to Marriott in the future.

After traveling on the road from Charleston to Tennessee, getting to the hotel to relax was the most important thing on my next move! The receptionist, Mikey, was a ray of sunshine! He was funny, patient and very helpful with providing the best room experience. The first room assigned to me the key did not work, the second time, after re-programming the key, still did not work so he moved me to a bigger and better room same cost! Thank you so much for your natural ability to make every persons hotel experience the best!

Right off interstate. KFC across the street. Room was bright, clean, not the usual musty smelling hotel, parking right in front of the room. Didn't have to drag bars all over. Very pleasant experience

Right off the highway for a quick overnight stay. Staff very nice. Not really a breakfast. More like coffee muffin, cold cereal. Room was basically clean and quite. They had a pull down room darkening shade instead of curtains. That was the best! Certainly would stay again.

Booked a double deluxe Queen room, travelled for 12 hours to get to the hotel only to be told that the only remaining room was a single bed king. Asked the guy at the front desk how could they still be listing rooms they currently don’t have, made some excuse that their systems didn’t update. Asked the front desk worker if I’m then going to be charged for the cancellation even tho they don’t have the room which was the whole reason I choose to stay there, said no, I should not be charged. A few hours later I get an email notification that the room has been cancelled but they were charging me over $170. I would not recommend staying here unless it’s your literally only option and even then you’re better going down I-75 a bit to a rest area. I can not believe I was still charged after they falsely advertised having a room (two beds) that we wanted and needed and doing the ole switch-a-roo once we got there.

Booked this one vs nearby hotels as it was cheaper and we were only sleeping on a road trip. However, I’d spend the extra few dollars to go somewhere else. The staff was friendly but the room smelled like BO and smoke, and I don’t think they clean it thoroughly as someone before us had hung a “pine tree” air freshener on the clothes rack. Also had a dead bug stuck to the side of the sheet when folded back. The “breakfast” was pathetic even by budget hotel standards. I hate to put a place down, but it’s just not worth the few bucks you save, and honestly an exit or two further south had better hotels cheaper but we were ready to rack out after a long day on the road.

Remote batteries were dead, wifi isn't configured correctly, the door handles aren't flush so I have to pick up the door to close it, my room door plate is hanging off, Taco Bell is your closest food choice, and half the outlets don't work. Besides that... AC works well and their free breakfast is decent.

Stayed 1 night. Clerk friendly and welcoming. The room was adequate. Bathroom super tight but very clean with great water pressure. The towels were soft enough. The AC unit needed work. Couldn’t adjust the temp. Comfortable mattress and awesome pillows. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast and as always mediocre at best but for free it’s adequate. Garbage cans full and spilling over. There were not enough chairs to accommodate all the guests. Two tables with zero chairs. People were juggling their plates while sitting on a couch. Not cool! After breakfast we were greeted by a large bug on the wall in our room. We thought it was a roach but when we showed the clerk a photo her response “oh, that’s no roach it’s a stink bug.” And then she proceeded to make excuses why it was in the room, which didn’t sit too well with us since we had paid $163 for the room. There should be no bugs especially one that is classified as venomous!

This is a pretty good place to stay and in a very safe area. However our complaint and it's a big one is that no one was available when we went to check out. Apparently the person coming in was late and the person that was there wasn't going to wait for them. So for I don't know how long the front desk was unmanned and the only person in the building as far as I know was the guy fixing breakfast. And he had no answers because we asked him! Come on Holiday inn Express, this is not good business when nobody is at your front desk at all!

Stayed for one night while traveling. I had a king room which was clean and had everything I needed. The property as a whole was also clean and well kept. Several restaurants within a 5 minute drive and a Mexican restaurant 2 minutes walk around the corner. Continental breakfast was good with the usual items and some hot options (biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage patties). Didn't interact with staff except for checking in and out but everyone was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel if needing to stay in the area.

The hotel is older, but its still in decent condition. The pool is very exposed as a wall of windows between the lobby and pool area offers no visual barrier. The room I got had a lingering cigarette smell. The bathroom didn't have any fan/vent so it gets humid really quickly and smells really linger for a while. The AC unit was older, so controls were on it rather than on the wall. Though it rattled a lot when in use. Oh, and the elevator rattles. Not hauned.

We arrived to find portable air conditioners in the lobby, and it got worse. There was a strong musty smell in the room, signs of mold, and the bedding felt damp, though it was clean. We left promptly for dinner and turned up the air conditioner in the room in hopes of drying the bedding. It helped a little, but this is the most uninhabitable place I have ever been.

On a long road trip along 75 and need a place to sleep for a while. Found the Avid hotel in Ringgold and it got great reviews. Had never heard of them but reviews made me give it a try based on reviews. Glad I did! Super new (I asked, just under 2 years) and super clean. Right off 75 so that was perfect. Breakfast was actually great - premade Jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, a lot of grab and go fruit, yogurt, bagels, muffins, etc. Awesome Costa high tech coffee dispenser. I have this one bookmarked and will be our new go to on our drives up and down to Florida.

I really like the value of this hotel. While some might say the rooms are small they are sufficient and well appointed. I like the large TV and breakfast was better than the Holiday inn express. Location was okay not too far from eating places.

This place was great. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the staff were awesome. They even went above and beyond trying to help us find a mechanic when we had car trouble. The staff that worked breakfast were super friendly. Overall I would definitely book this hotel again.

Great place. Clean, nice bed and shower. Good breakfast with water to fill your container. Seem to be concerned for the environment because they offer paper products instead of plastics. Highky recommend. Had a smart TV with casting.

Following a nine-hour drive with no suitable accommodations, we were delighted to discover Avid hotel, which offered a clean and economical stay. Matt, the desk staff, was exceptional, providing us with a warm welcome in the midnight hour after a long day. The breakfast staff was a phenomenal team, and during our checkout, we met an amazing individual with a fascinating sports history, having interacted with several notable figures. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we look forward to returning.

We drove up from Florida to see the mountains for 5 days at the end of September with our 4 year old daughter and 6 month old Maltipoo. While we were in town my two granddaughters under the age of 7 joined us every evening. The pros of this hotel would be that some of the staff are exceptional, kind, and helpful. The room was beautiful, exactly enough space to have 3 girls under 7, a puppy, as well as my husband and I. The pool was clean. The grounds were neat. The cons were that the towels weren’t stocked in the pool, and we had to go downstairs and request toilet paper, bedding, and towels 2x throughout the week because housekeeping didn’t touch our room. Also, breakfast is set up one time only and its first come first serve. For a mom of a 4 year old and having two other littles with me sometimes- this was inconvenient as it is part of the perks of selecting certain hotels. If you don’t go downstairs by 7:30- you aren’t getting any waffles, coffee creamer, chocolate milk, etc. As we walked around the hotel often, the office door was open constantly. I can see the hotel has definitely “cut breakfast costs” as it only puts food out once, and saves money on housekeeping by having housekeeping touch the rooms once throughout the week. I usually tip housekeeping and food servers at hotels but was unable to do so because I never interacted with these staff. Other than that- I must say there was a gentleman whose name started with F? I believe- he worked evenings- he was always extremely helpful. Courteous. Kind. Always reloaded snacks in the snack area as the girls and I purchased snackies every evening during our strolls around the hotel. As a female with a small dog and three young girls I felt safe in this hotel, I felt safe in the pool, and I felt the service when I encountered it was courteous and kind. Perhaps in a rural area, the staffing is short handed. Hopefully this resolves before our next visit- as we would stay in the hotel again.

We booked on our way to Florida and enjoyed it so much, we booked for our way back home! We were pleasantly surprised by the pull out bed under the couch in the double queen suite which was perfect for our two kids! The rooms were clean and roomy! The fire pit is such a great touch to relax after a long drive! Danielle was absolutely so sweet and accomodating when we found the pool temperature was way too hot. The moment we notified her she was on the ball and went to adjust it. She exceeded our expectations as far as great service goes both times! Will definitely return here when we are in the area.

My family visited this hotel for a softball tournament. After being outside in the hot sun all day, we wanted nothing more than a nice, cool room to relax in and that is NOT what we got. The hotel and hallway was 80 degrees. We sweat while checking in, eating breakfast, in the rough elevators and while walking to our room. To make that better, our room would not cool below 75 degrees. I called the front desk within 45 minutes of checking and and trying to cool the room. I was told no problems had been reported with our room and the maintenance man wouldn’t be in until 7:00am the next day. So we had to spend our first night sweating while trying to sleep. The next morning, I went to the front desk to report that we were ready for maintenance to work on our unit. The woman at the front desk was very rude and said our unit was probably frozen, so I repeated that we would like for it to be serviced or our room moved that day. My husband also gave them our numbers so they could tell us when time to move. We returned to the room after another steamy day of softball to see our room at 77 degrees. I called to report this and was told, ‘oh we sold out tonight so I can’t move you. You should have called earlier’. So the ride front desk lady didn’t pass along that we were having problems, did t send maintenance and didn’t get us moved while rooms were still available. Then, as a gold member who spent 60k points on this trip. I was told that nothing could be done for me other than returning 5000 of my points. Apparently this hotel has widespread problems, from the employees to the facility. I would avoid it at all costs because any problem you have will NOT be managed. Terrible Marriott property!!!!

The night staff was great. The two gentlemen working were efficient and friendly. Got to our room and found that the carpets weren’t really vacuumed well, crumbs and dirt in the corners of the bathroom for some strange reason. Pillowcase had a stain that makes you think about maybe checking for bed bugs. None found! 🙌 No trash can in the bathroom, one roll of TP half used already, no tv remote. The nice gentleman from downstairs brought us a remote pretty quickly though. The layout is wonky at a lot of Springhill Suites with the bathroom in the middle of the room, and this one is no different. The light shines through the opaque door so others sleeping get a nice wake up when someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night. The breakfast was okay. Pretty picked over with an hour left in the timeframe of breakfast hours, but we made do. Overall, I think this could be a great hotel if attention was given to cleaning and basic room necessities.

I really don't understand why this place even has more the. 1 star reviews. The location isn't too bad maybe that's it? Other than that, it's a dirty hotel, especially for the price about $85 a night after taxes. I've stayed in motel 6s that weren't this bad! Check in was easy, parking is ok. Come up to the room, went to shower, mold along the caulking all around the tub. After seeing that thinking ok, not horrible but still, looked under the sink, lots of dirt, and hair chunks. Went to lay down, pulled back sheets, it looks like they don't do well washing them at all. The doors in the hallway slam, constantly causing noises through the night. The AC somewhat works, and of course dirty, the floor is scuffed and damaged. Going down the stairs, completely dirty. Gave us 2 towels, wanted them to come in change sheets, they came in, put 2 towels and washcloths in, and left the room doing nothing else. DO NOT STAY HERE

After a long day of driving we needed a clean reasonably priced hotel for a quick well deserved sleep and shower. Penny was working at the front desk and I felt so welcomed. She gave us a great room, easy check in and was so sweet. I felt like I had met an old long lost friend! The rooms are clean, coffee and muffins for breakfast. Nothing fancy but super nice! I can’t say enough good things! I highly recommend it. Beds were super comfortable! Free wi fi too.

The room was quiet, and staff was extremely polite and helpful. The only reason for 3 stars was the room was quite dirty. Hair left all over the bathroom, wet countertops and the floor was extremely discolored. Also, house keeping woke us up both days at 8am, asking if we wanted the room cleaned. Seemed early to me, especially when checkout isn’t until 11am. Overall, not bad. The location is pretty great but we will probably stay else where.
