Barefoot in the Park

The Ringgold Depot

Event Description

The Ringgold Playhouse presents Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon. Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer, and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find; it’s too expensive, has lousy plumbing, and direly needs a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother. The couple decide to play matchmaker for Corie’s mother and their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, during a dinner where everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, and she knows it. He is too staid and boring, and she wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Perhaps running “barefoot in the park” would be the perfect start.

This show is directed by Renee Lierow and runs for five total performances February 29th through March 3rd. All performances are held at the historic Ringgold Depot. To ensure you get a ticket before we sell out, purchase them online at the link below. Tickets are also available at the door
