Add to Calendar Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 12:00 AM Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 America/New_York Festival of Flags

For two weeks every May and November, the City of Ringgold raises over 2,000 flags and crosses to honor fallen soldiers who’ve called Catoosa County home. This bi-annual celebration is known as the Festival of Flags, and this event, or some variation of it, has been happening in Ringgold since the 1970s. Residents and visitors alike can view the patriotic spectacle by driving or walking through the Downtown area. Please visit the link below for a complete list of streets and locations decorated during the festival and to locate your loved ones’ cross or flag.

Volunteers organize the event and rely on the community coming together to make it possible. If you are interested in volunteering your time to help put up our veterans memorial flags, please contact Gilbert Childers (865-300-7057) or Pete Pedigo (423-240-9034). Flags are placed one week before Memorial Day or Veteran’s Day respectively and removed one week after the holiday.
